Kate & CrackerJack
This was painted for the Daily Paintworks Challenge this week, but now, I'm not sure it would really qualify. I painted it on a tangerine-toned ground, but I can never seem to leave enough of my background colors. The tangerine-toned ground, however, was really fun to paint on. I look forward to trying it again.

Sweet Sheltie (N/A)
I've been working on pet portraits the past few days. It has been so cold and windy out. I've been happy to be busy indoors. I hope you're all having a great week!

Juice Break
Homegrown Texas oranges. Not very pretty. But so sweet! These look like they're chatting around the pitcher. Or perhaps, drawing straws for who will be juiced first? Oh, the dilemma!

Happy New Year!
I hope this note finds you feeling well and enjoying 2012. 2012! Can you believe it? There is something so special about the first few days of the new year, isn't there? They're a lot like blank canvases waiting to be painted. We are all renewed with a sense of freshness, and the possibilities, well, they seem limitless. Cheers to the new year, friends. Thank you all for your friendship, encouragement and inspiration. Happy painting!
