Today was such a struggle for me. Sleepy calves do not remain sleepy for long. And the more I hurry, the more tightly I paint. Argh. However, I remain undaunted. Tomorrow is another day. :)
I know it! They look totally asleep, but I think they are playing tricks - they are good at that, same thing happened to me!
BUT the trials of live animal painting aside - I love this color combination and the shading on the cow itself and the minimal way in which you added detail to the grass.
Thank you, Lisa! Coming from you, that means a lot to me. I'm still stumbling around just experimenting with things. And having fun. The day spent in the pasture was one of the most interesting.
