Daddy's Boys

Private Collection

These little boots belonged to my husband and his two brothers.  The toes are scuffed, and the heels are worn.  You can tell that they were well loved by all of the boys.

Great painting Darla. I really like how you have captured the creases in the leather.

Priceless really. I hope you are keeping this one

Thank you, Karen, Amanda and Page. I should have painted them on a bigger panel, but the little boots were so fun. And I think that I will keep this one. I am too sentimental. :)

Most definitely a keeper Darla!! You've captured the texture of leather beautifully, this is a real gem!

It is interesting that boots can tell a story...these do...love the red...and the crinkles.
