The Subtleties of Green

I loved painting this little pear and all of its imperfections. It served to remind me of the Wabi-Sabi aesthetic. Finding beauty in imperfection and accepting life's impermanence is such a beautiful concept. Nothing lasts. Nothing is finished. Nothing is perfect.

Happy painting!

Love this one Darla. Especially the fact that you created depth sitting the pear back on the block. And that leaf!! Bravo.

Those little imperfections and texture in the pear make it look so realistic Darla! Amazing work as always!!!

I am "green" with envy... I know, I couldn't help myself. In all seriousness, I believe green to be the most misbehaved color. You have tamed it so well! Your painting is perfect!

That leaf has a style all of its own and lifts the pear into the extraordinary!!!! Love all the imperfections, you are truly a lover of life my friend. xxx

'The Subtleties of Green' - the transitions from light to shade, the consistency of angle on the highlights, the reflected light on the table - and the pear ... one of your absolute best. Kudos.
