Still Life with Vintage Pie Bird and Cherries

This little pie bird belonged to my Mom.  No cherry pie seems quite complete without it.  It is one of my favorite treasures.

I hope you are having a great week!

Hey, thanks, Karen! They are really fun to paint, but I have so much trouble photographing them. I am camera challenged, lol. I hope you are having a great summer!

Great painting. I like the composition and the dark background really makes the light areas pop.

Thank you, girls. Your sweet comments always make my day! :)

Page, the ceramic pie bird is placed in the center of a two-crust pie to vent the steam. It looks big in this painting, but it is only a few inches tall. Usually, the little head is the only thing peeking out of the crust. So cute!
